XXXChurch and the Realities of Porn

The new design for XXXChurch’s website has now officially launched. I love it! I’ve been asked to blog on their site. It’s a challenge to which I look forward.

Don’t worry, I’ll still be blogging here. This will still remain my personal site where I’ll continue to share with you the path I’m walking since surrendering my life to God, but some of my readers have made it clear they don’t want to hear much graphic detail on the realities of my former career. That’s where the blog I write for XXXChurch will come in handy. I’ll be sharing things on that site some of you will probably not wish to read.

Porn is a fantasy. It’s not real. If you follow the new blog you’ll soon see what I mean. Just be warned, it may get graphic, because reality is not always pretty, my friends.

The entire reason XXXChurch exists is to help set people free from pornography. I believe some of the things I have to say will help with that.

You are right, reality is not always pretty, and it is not pretty what “anonymous” said. Humans can sure be mean and ugly (Some Christians too, as you well know.) But even if I wasn’t a Christian I would want to encourage you in what you are doing, because I think you are finally free. Free to be the man God intended you to be, and a Daddy your son can be very proud of. It is awesome!

Donny, I went over to the blog at XXXCHurch, and then took some time to pray for you, because if I had to wade through all the shit in the comments over there, I’d feel terrible. It was a window into some of what you’re going through. So…to the haters who are going on about how you’re doing this for attention…all I have to say is, if someone was going to choose an attention getting device, why would it involve leaving a high paying job and screwing up their life? People always find it easy to say we’re stupid for believing, but I think it’s one of the hardest things to do…I’m a graduate studies student in university and I know how hard it is to believe when you look at how the Church has been through history. But it hasn’t stopped me yet.

And I’m hoping none of this junk stops you either man. Keep on keeping on.
