I was very much taken off guard by this, and being a recovering porn addict, stuff like it does cause me to stumble slightly there.

The last thing I need is anything that is going to lead me back down a path I want no part of. That’s what I’m trying to avoid, and seeing a picture like that, well it isn’t exactly helping.

That example you posted is almost not worth replying to, as it SO doesn’t relate to this.

Stupid, yes, and I can’t believe I actually thought it was fake before you, the internet genius! Bottom line, the pictures are poking fun in very poor taste! But, it is your ramblings, isn’t it?

To clarify for you, when Wendy said it was “stupid” she wasn’t talking about the decision to post the photo. She was just saying “that’s a stupid joke”, as in: didn’t tickle her funny bone.

People took this WAY too seriously. It was not degrading.

When I first posted it, I really thought that was photo was a real one of her, not a photoshopped image. That being the case, had I realized it was a photo shop I would not have posted it. But only because it wouldn’t have been funny to me. Not because I’m a stick in the mud, just because I only found the humor in this when I thought that was real. And not because it would have been a way to embarrass her, either, but because it would have been a WOW, type of thing, as in “Wow, she looks hot!” (there is nothing wrong with admitting that).

If nobody had raised much of a fuss it would be coming down anyway. But since so many have thrown such a huge fit about the photo, it’s staying up. Because it annoys me how easily offended people can be. In one of Bill’s sermons, Jean, he stated “Christians need to give up their right to be so easily offended”. It was a great statement then, and remains a great statement now.

Only the bottle that houses the water is green, and it is obvious that it once held 12 ounces of cold Heineken.

Meeting-goers are offended, and the mere sight of a beer bottle causes meeting-goers to think more intensely about the beverage they have sworn off. They realize how much they used to depend on the alcohol to get them through their days.

“Gee,” thinks one of the meeting members to himself, “if *he* can have one after all he’s been through, surely it can’t be that bad. Maybe it’s OK to just have one.”

As people begin to question our friend the water-drinker, he says “look, see? It’s just water. You all KNOW I never drink that stuff anymore. It’s just the packaging that’s fake. See? It’s water! Take a drink — here, have some. Isn’t that funny, everyone?”

I think our friend the water-imbiber was very irresponsible.
