Wendy's advice is SUCH truth! It reminds me of a favorite quote: "My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky. "Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity." The Alchemist It is so true that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. When we realize we are actually NOT going to die from the pain, it is bearable, real. It is part of life. And God breaks in during the pain, He is just there with us. Not taking away the pain like a magic feel-good pill, but just being there, holding us. Anyway, thank you for this reminder. SUCH truth.
